Kundalini yoga was brought to the west in 1969 from India by Yogi Bhajan. This ancient yoga gives one an awareness and fortitude to allow the subconscious mind to clear limiting beliefs and patterns to awaken our full potential. The yoga set begins with a mantra of protection called the Adi Mantra. This technical and spiritual link will guide the kundalini energy through our body. Our class is a synergistic combination of warm ups, postures, mantras and meditations. The emphasis is the flow of the kriya. This is a specific sequence of exercises and meditations for a desired outcome and have specific timings.

In kundalini yoga ones experience can go straight to the heart. It is a powerful dynamic tool that allows your soul to be uplifted and bring forth its capacity to shine. It is the practice of a person’s excellence, not only developing one’s belief system, awareness and understanding but also improving and maintaining our physical health and well being.

Classes are typically 1.5 hours and are suitable for everyone with or without prior yoga experience.

Please bring water and wear loose comfortable clothing for exercise.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of each class. If you are not there by this time, and the class is fully booked, your place may be offered to someone wanting to drop in. This will be considered a late cancellation and no refund or alternative will be offered. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Mats and other equipment are provided by Aylesbury Yoga Centre.
