An Introduction to Nia -a workshop

Date(s) - Saturday, 8 Dec, 2018
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

with Melina Williams

Have fun exploring the basic concepts of Nia in a workshop designed specifically for beginners.

Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit.  Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: the base, the core and the upper extremities. Movements are inspired with energising music and rhythms with you taking the lead with how much energy and effort you put into your movements so that you leave feeling re balanced, revitalised and relaxed.

At the end of this workshop you will have more of an awareness of how to use your body with greater sensitivity and pleasure, so  benefits flow into and enrich your everyday life.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the workshop. Any equipment needed will be provided by Aylesbury Yoga Centre. Please wear comfortable layered clothing.

BOOK BEFORE 1st December for an early bird price of £20 (after that price increases to £25)
