Yoga for Special Needs


These sessions are suitable for babies, children and young adults with Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, and those diagnosed with autism, attention deficit disorder, ADHD and learning disabilities.

Each session offers a balanced 1-to-1 yoga practice designed to enhance natural development and overall wellbeing.

The benefits and aims of a balanced yoga practice include:

  • Improving motor control
  • Strength and motor planning skills
  • Increasing self awareness
  • Establishing calm organised states
  • Developing the skills to self regulate across environments and demands
  • Developing balance and the ability to relax and release tension, fear and frustration
  • Improving immune function
  • Improving sleep quality and quantity
  • Enhancing breathing ability and capacity
  • And enhancing a sense of overall well being
